Выявляются общие и особенные черты, характеризующие систему ученых степеней и званий научно-педагогических работников в рассматриваемых странах, правовое регулирование их трудоустройства, заработной платы и других условий труда, аттестации и контроля качества научно-исследовательской деятельности.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Under comparative law method, the author considers the legal status of professors, associate professors and other academic staff of higher educational institutions of the USA, Canada and the Member States of the European Union.
