The Actual Problems of Russian Law Journal was founded in 2004 as a collection of works of young scholars published following the conference bearing the same name.
The first Editor-in-Chief of the Actual Problems of Russian Law Journal was an outstanding Russian scholar and statesman, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Oleg E. Kutafin. From 2009 to 2012, the office of the Editor-in-Chief was held by Viktor Blazheev, Rector of the Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL). Currently, the Editorial Board of the Journal is presided over by Aleksandr A. Sitnik, PhD in Law, Associate Professor.
